Moscow Golf Club is located in the Ramenki district. Around the golf club is the territory of the historical area of Troitse-Golenishchevo, and next to it Troitse-Golenishchevo oldeners of the Setun River. The Setun River Valley Nature Reserve is located to the northwest of it.
A general concept in the shaping of the forms of these buildings is the simplicity of the content, expressed in the monotony but not impersonality of the facades, as well as in the sloping roofs, which respond to the conception of mimicry to the landscape of the place.
The architecture of the clubhouse is the largest visual spot on the golf club club. Therefore, its outline mimics the landscape. The renovation of this building is formed by removing all existing walls and roof, leaving the structural frame and expanding the new volume on the existing structural system.
The new volume is formed of three blocks: club, restaurant, banquet, bank, vip. All these blocks are logistically and logically connected to each other in horizontal and vertical orientation.
The image of the clubhouse is formed from pragmatic assumptions. The front façade (from the parking lot side) is one-storeyed, all service functions that do not need light are placed in the central blocks, and the serviced light rooms are located along the contour of these blocks.
The façade on the lake side becomes two-storied. In the volume are formed numerous openings — terraces, which contribute to access to the street and light penetration, a full-fledged passage at the level of the first floor, patio, which permeates the building completely up to the roof.
The conceptual revitalization of the golf club includes the construction of several building blocks and the renovation of the main attractor of the area — the clubhouse. Buildings of various scales and impact on the area have been developed. Six structures and one large clubhouse revitalization project. The architecture of the clubhouse is the biggest visual spot of the golf club.
Therefore, its outline mimics the landscape. The renovation of this building is formed by removing all the existing walls and roof, leaving only the structural frame. All other buildings are shaped in their massing and architecture purely based on the function of internal infill and external content, to support the context rather than argue with it.
Also on the west side of the building welcomes visitors with an exterior and interior parterre to the underground floor with a large number of rooms with golf simulators. The parterre in this part has both the aesthetic function of a chill zone and pragmatically opens up the landscape in front of the underground floor and allows light to penetrate. It should also be noted that all functions that are service functions and do not need natural light are retracted into the middle of the building and serve all public spaces, separating the common lobby from the driving range lobby.
The architecture of the academy and its shaping derives entirely from the pragmatic composition of the premises with its logistical connections.
The academy building is rounded on the east side in an arc that encircles the twelve-court driving range, and on the north and south sides of the building it is also rounded on the contour of the road and golf course. The building greets visitors with a one-story form and increases in pitched roof form to the driving range to two stories. There is an oculus in the middle of the roof which illuminates the reception area from above.
In the entry area of a golf club, the predominant structures are: the entry group and the event pavilion. These structures are the first impression for the club’s resident and guests, so this architecture should be no less surprising than the clubhouse.
The facades of the buildings are transformable (mechanically) wooden «screens» on metal supporting posts-columns. A simple facade that functionally supports the meaning of the rooms in these structures. The more public the room — the more open the screen-column, the more intimate the room — the more closed screen-column.
The architecture of the technical building for the golf club is shaped by a simple rectangular form to match the utilitarian functions of the building’s contents. However, due to the vast areas of internal functions it becomes a significant landmark and therefore on the golf club side it acquires a more complex outline to be a pleasing visual pattern, which is locally hidden behind trees. The structure is semi-enclosed. On the north side it is enclosed by walls, on the south side the structure is open and is just a combination of courts with a roof.
The structure of the technical zone is placed on the relief in such a way that in the northern closed part it is two-level, and in the southern part only as a single-level platform. In this way the zone acquires a more structured outline and aligns all logistics to comfortable values.
The architecture of the comfortstation is entirely contextual. The structure is composed of two blocks of different functionality with a passage in the middle. The passage is in the axis of the increasing water surface. The construction of the comfortstation also has several layers.
The outer layer (on the road side) is completely closed. The inner layer (water side) is an open area with transformable panoramic windows for total relaxation and meditative rest in visual connection with nature.
